Why you should join the event

The EPS Forum is a three-day international meeting of interest for all European researchers, PhD students and Post Docs who wish to be introduced to exciting research opportunities in large companies and start-ups, and encourage a dialogue with representatives of the industry sector.

Once you stop learning, you start dying.

The Nobel Prize in Physics 2017

Barry Barish was awarded the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physics ’for decisive contributions to the LIGO detector and the observation of gravitational waves’, along with American physicists Rainer Weiss and Kip S. Thorne. Barish became LIGO Principal Investigator in 1994. Under his leadership, LIGO was evolved into the exquisitely sensitive instrument that made the first-ever detections of gravitational waves in 2015.

In an earlier Fermilab experiment, Barish was among the first to observe the weak neutral current, a linchpin of the

Review Our Plans For the three Days

A particularity of the EPS Forum is to offer, within the same event, the possibility of not only promoting our young researchers to our industrial partners, but also of presenting them the latest achievements in physics by the most renowned experts in the selected disciplines. These are the same as those discussed over Day 1, but addressed from a more fundamental point of view on Day 2.
